That’s why we developed True Colour Match, a new Chrome extension that makes it easy to determine if a colour fits your 4 season/12 Tone personal colour profile.

This highly accurate, non-arbitrary, and systematic approach to colour, has been refined over years of experience, research, and testing, and has proven to be highly effective in helping individuals find the colours that complement their unique characteristics.

How True Colour Match Works

The True Colour Match utilises the world’s largest and most accurate data base of 12 Tone colours.  Unlike other online collections of colours, our personal colour data base is not the work of a computer algorithm or artificial intelligence.

Each hue within the TCI database has been hand selected and allocated to its correct tonal space by TCI founder Amelia Butler and is the result of years of research and work towards assembling an extended collection of colours for each of the 12 Tones.

True Colour Match utilises advanced machine learning algorithms (AI) to analyse an online image of clothing/fabric, and accurately categorises into one of the 4 season/12 Tone colour spaces.

Sometimes stores take photos in a way that distorts the colours; however, many stores do their absolute best to ensure that the colours in their product images render correctly to minimise unnecessary returns. This is where True Colour Match is helpful: our plugin analyses the colour that the store intended to publish and NOT the one you see on your screen.

This makes it easy for individuals to make informed decisions before making a purchase!

All you need to do is copy and paste a link to an image of the fabric/clothing into the Chrome extension, and the system will do the rest.

The extension is user-friendly and accessible to anyone, regardless of their level of expertise in colour matching.

Limitations To Take Into Account

While our plugin is a revolutionary tool for online shopping, it’s important to note that it does have some limitations:

The plugin can only process solid colours, meaning that patterns, such as stripes or other designs, may not be accurately analysed.

Additionally, our plugin can only analyse images of clothing/fabric (on a white background) and cannot analyse images of people wearing the clothing.

Finally, while we do our best to help you accurately identify if the colour you see on your screen belongs to your Seasonal/12 Tone personal colour palette, we want to remind our users that while we guarantee the accurate analysis of the colour in the image itself, we have no control over the image accurately representing the colour of the clothing/fabric itself.

Simply go to the Chrome Web Store and search for True Colour Match or click on the link below.

The next step is to click on “Add to Chrome” and follow the prompts to complete the installation.

Once installed, our plugin icon will appear (as a small puzzle piece) in your browser toolbar, ready for you to use whenever you need it.
